PBO eLogbook Guide for Residents and Fellows

This is a simple step-by-step guide for daily use of the eLogbook.

Before You Start

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. If asked, complete the registration steps on screen.
  3. Open your profile menu and check Subscription/License.

If your license is not active, some buttons may be hidden or disabled.

Residents and Fellows need a license to log. After graduation you can still access your data without paying. See Logbook Policies.

Main Menu: What to Click

After login, use the left menu (or dashboard cards) to open each section.

Surgeries

This is where you log and track operations.

OREF

This is for rotation evaluation requests.

OCEX

This is for clinical encounter assessments.

When an OCEX is completed, confirm it when prompted.

Fellows may see extra sections depending on their program.

Check your dashboard and list pages regularly to avoid missed deadlines.

Good Documentation Habits

Printing Your Report

  1. Open the surgery or logbook print page.
  2. Refresh or regenerate before downloading if you recently added entries.
  3. Review the PDF before submission.

If Something Is Missing or You Cannot Click a Button

Check:

  1. Your role (Resident or Fellow)
  2. Your license status in Subscription/License
  3. Whether the item is waiting for consultant or training officer action

If still unresolved, contact your training officer or system administrator.
